Domestic chimney sweeping

We sweep every kind of domestic chimney, for open fires and for stoves.  We sweep for all kinds of stoves: multi-fuel burners, wood burners, and oil/solid fuel burners.  We also sweep for solid fuel boilers.  We are often called on to sweep for traditional range cookers and boilers such as Aga and Rayburn.
We do more than just thoroughly clean your chimney.  With each visit we

• Protect your carpet and furniture
• Remove all the soot
• Check for the presence of required air vents, and their correct operation
• Check for the presence of carbon monoxide alarms, and test them
• Carry out a Smoke Evacuation Test (a “smoke test”)
• Issue a NACS certificate confirming the chimney has been thoroughly swept recognised by home insurance companies

We work with large and small businesses to sweep large and small chimneys.  We can work direct with the building owner, or through a facilities management company. We have years of experience of working on historic buildings, and always complete a risk assessment before we start work.

• Stove maintenance – new parts supplied and fitted

Looking after your stove or open fire

As well as cleaning your chimney we can look after your stove, wood burner or open fire.

We can supply and install replacement parts, at reasonable prices.  We can recommend fitters to install new stoves : these are people we know and trust, having worked with them on many projects.

Nest Clearance

Nature is wonderful – in it’s place.  A nest in the wrong place is a nuisance, potentially a health hazard, and potentially a fire hazard.  We are experts in clearing blockages and removing non active:

As modern, professional sweeps we have a wide range of equipment, ready to tackle any job.  We can sweep all types of chimney from narrow lined flues with tight bends, to standard lined chimneys, to wide unlined flues.

CCTV Chimney Inspection

Our CCTV Chimney Inspection checks every part of your chimney for problems.  They are a quick, simple and thorough way of identifying current and potential problems.

We use a specialised miniature Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras.  They are small enough to fit into almost any flue pipe, and offer full 360 degree rotation and 180 degree swivel, which means nothing gets missed.

We can show you the results of the survey as it happens, and also deliver it to you as a video file.

CCTV inspections are invaluable for:

• Identifying the cause of leaks and blockages
• Checking chimney liners
• Inspecting a chimney before lining
• Checking for damage after a chimney fire
• Providing evidence for insurance claims
• Checking capped chimneys before they are re-opened
